During the #TikTokBan some have characterized #RedNote as an opportunity for #Chinese and western netizens to finally talk to each other, I wonder if anything came out of that? Because from my experience I see that some #international #students (especially Chinese, but certainly applicable to others as well) - already in the West and have little language barrier - don't meaningfully interact outside of their ethnic groups (beyond necessity), and the cause of that should be explored.

so i haven’t deleted my tiktok acc just bc i wanted to confirm a couple of things before i do.
tiktok has totally changed. any videos criticizing trump or elon or any right wing ideology gets removed. u can’t search up fascism on there. this is some really scary stuff.
they also removed the option to see lives so no one is seeing the protest marches. there are no more fun and lighthearted videos on the fyp.

之前在默嘟象上曾经刷到过一条嘟文说，白人如此抗拒移民身份以至于祂们要发明一种expat的称谓作为从自己国家到其他国家（尤其第三世界国家）工作生活的身份
这次洋抖迁徙小红书，我观察到一个极其类似的现象是：
虽然大量外国用户在小红书上都会自称tiktok refugee和使用这个标签
但我只在白人用户中看到了极高比例非要使用tiktok immigrate这种表达的
