Ideas that independent city-states run by corparations would be any different than medieval city-states constantly at war with each other.
Ideas which are a mismash of stoled academic lines from here & there, flaunted by monarchy-idealising nerds in brand-new leather jackets.
They’ll never work, but their ”inventors” are stupid enough to think they are new.

Only state power can enforce the right to property. We can -- and should -- live without states, but to do so we have to live without property.

I think that #Trump & his followers are the issue here.
Not #democrats
Not #uncommitted
Not #libertarian
We just need to suck it up and work together.
Once things settle we can go back to struggling with the comparatively minor differences we all have.
Or...we can go on being divided by Trump's rhetoric.
Why, you may ask, is America so fucked up? Simple. The “southern strategy” employed by Nixon worked. It worked beyond their wildest dreams. Three simple steps:
1. Christian fundamentalism ( Christo-fascism)
2. Segregation. Jim Crow, Apartheid - call it what you will. Maybe just racism.
3. States rights. Basically the ability of states to enforce #1 and #2. And keep the feds out.
Gerrymandering has been a key factor for their success. Stacking the courts and electing incompetent morons who can be easily manipulated is a contributing factor too. But the most important thing is money. Lots and lots of money. Hire lawyers Fund think tanks. Flood every news zone. Buy social media. Control the news cycle 24 hours a day. Instill hatred, fear and insecurity. And lie. Lie about everything!

@strypey This is based on the assumption that neo-liberal economics/politics is a choice and governments are by elected officials who subscribe to this ideology, contrary to those who falsely promise that a social-democracy is still possible. It isn't.
The truth is that not many governments have much of a choice since they have to operate withing international banking and trade. The choice of social democracy is to isolate from borrowing from markets and be trading within those same markets, all under the control of private mega-banks. (N.Korea, Iran, Venezuela, now Russia as well, all isolated and under attack)
#NeoLiberalism is the evolution of capitalism, specifically a defense of 19th century capitalism against the transformation of the state into a social democracy, serving interests other than those of the capitalists.
Meanwhile the #zapatistas have lived OUTSIDE of capitalism for 31 years 1/1/94 -1/1/25 but organized to do so 41 years earlier
We are still contemplating between vanguards and libertarian utopians, enslaved to corporations and their federation of banks.
