@TonyStark @kilroy_was_here @noondlyt I disagree, because the #EU elections just did that at 500M + inhabitants and it worked fine too.
#Protip: Paying people to actually do the counting is cheaper than those fancy voting machines, is more reliable, easier to scale and harder to compromize, evev if you only pay them a flat €50 (tax-free!)...
It's not a matter of possibility, but political will, and with most of the population not even voting because they feel like they don't matter at all alongside a classist voting system and #VoterID BS, elections in the #USA are having frightingly low turnover.
- Also I'm pretty shure the density of polling stations in the USA is way lower both by area and espechally per eligible voter so no, I don't let the soze argument slide either. Also nothing says counting needs to be finished within seconds or minutes and we all should accept a bit more waiting time in exchsnge for higher security instead.
Frankly I'd not give a shit about the #US were it not for the fact that <250M people eligible to vote there de-facto impact the safety and security of >1B people outside of the USA that werre never ever aboe to vote themselves...
- Which is why I URGE EVERYONE to #Vote ffs!
