It is kind of odd that the Republicans won't voluntarily wear the fascist label despite adopting fascism in every other respect. I guess they were programmed that "fascist" is just an insult not a political description.
They should wear the shoe that fits.

Hall of Fame of the resistance.
Yep, only 4 out of 260 (213+47) elected officials of the opposition, including Democrats and independents, have done something noticeable in the face of Trumps fascistic regime, something that's not business as usual. That's a whopping 𝟏.𝟓% (#sarcasm)
If we consider the total of 535 elected officials in US Congress, noticeable resistance to fascism / authoritarianism / oligarchy (pick one) has been a shameful 𝟎.𝟕%.
American exceptionalism at its worst.
But I guess the funniest part is the 10% tariffs on #Tokelau.
Tokelau's economy is among the smallest globally, primarily characterized by subsistence agriculture and fishing. The residents cultivate crops such as coconuts (for copra), taro, breadfruit, papayas, bananas, and figs, and raise livestock including pigs and poultry. Fishing, particularly for local consumption, plays a vital role in their sustenance.
Take that, Tokelau!
The best gem from the Vermilion Villain, was his tariff of 10% on the uninhabited Heard Island, home of the King Penguins
A spokespenguin for the King 'king penguin' said, that a boycott of all goods in solidarity with Canada and the EU was already underway, before slapping an unsuspecting penguin on the head sending him into an ice hole!
Also, nice to read that some Republicans managed to find their spine and vote to rescind the Canada tariffs!

White House and Capitol Hill Republicans fear their president fantastically more than they love their country. They don't love the United States of America ... they love their jobs.
Don't judge Republicans by what they say. They lie the way the rest of us grow hair. Judge Republicans by what they do in this time of national peril. Caving to Trump is their way of life. You watch.

I'm sure a lot of us are feeling nervous following #Trump's batshit crazy #tariff announcements
It can feel overwhelming, but we're not powerless!
Heres my anxiety relief suggestion of the day, write your MP and tell them to cancel Trump's state visit!
It's time to stop playing nice with bullies. No using our taxes for fucking fancy dinners for this idiot
You can find your MP and write them directly here!
RUINATION DAY

Paywalls being what they are, the attached screenshot is the best I can do to give an idea of this intelligent, highly informed piece in The Economist. It is perfectly clear to me, at least, that Trump is mentally ill; and he is totally prepared to wreck the United States of America with his mindless followings of paranoid conspiracy theory delusions. We are about to pay dearly, possibly severely, for electing a mentally ill president. Donald Trump, quite simply, is not fit to serve as president of the United States; and his cabinet, the House, and the Senate are likely to do nothing at all about it for no reason other than narrow, rigid partisanship.

31% tariffs for Switzerland goods.... Looking forward to seeing all his billionaire friends whine about paying 1/3 extra for their Swiss luxury watches
And I hope the brands will cascade that to US clients and not absorb it.
