Time to share some #EFF stuff 😃
Do you use an #e2e encrypted messenger with your family? With your friends? With the boy or girl you recently met on this event?
There are many reasons people tell you, why they prefer another messenger and it shows how difficult it is to find the right balance between #privacy and #security vs. #usability and features.

I went the easy way :)
Take Signal as an SMS app and recommend it to people like that, as well as mentioning that it has all the #e2e encryption and security features.
Most people don't mind to replace their SMS app as they don't use it anyways. And they don't expact too fancy features from it. But suddenly they have Signal and you can contact them this way. Over time more and more people have it even when not using it now. And you can switch to it :)

I may be in the minority in that the majority of my contacts use #Signal. I'm really hoping that their recent cash infusion will lead to a lot of fixed bugs soon, though. Bugs are my biggest concern as a heavy user, followed by lack of features / features needing UX work on mobile.
